He had ten thousand men

9-9 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11
He marched them up to the top of the hill

9 -9 10 -9 9 -7 6
And he marched them down again

5 7 7 7 7 7 7 7
And when they were up they were up

-8 9 9 9 9 9 9 9
And when they were down they were down

9-9 11 11 11 11 11 11 11
But when they were only half way up

9 -9 10 -9 9 -7 6
They were neither up nor down
