5 6 6 -6 6 -5 5 -4 5
Many's the time I've been mistaken
-7 7 7 -7 -7 -6
And many times confused.
5 6 6 -6 6 -5 5 -4 6 5
Yes, and I've often felt forsaken
-7 7 8 -8 8 -8
And certainly misused
7 7 7 -7 6 6 -6-7-66 6
Oh, but I'm all right,I'm all right
6 6 -6 7 6 -5 5
I'm just weary to my bones
7 -6 -7 7 -8 7 -7
Still, you don't expect to be
7 -7 -6 6 -7
Bright and bon vivant
5 -5 6 6 -4 5
So far away from home,
-67 6 5 5 -4 4
So far away from home

4 5 6 6 -6
I don't know a soul
6 -5 5 -4 5
who's not been battered
5 -7 -7 -7 7 7 -7 -7 -6
I don't have a friend who feels at ease
5 5 6 6 -6 6
I don't know a dream that's
-5 5 -4 6 5
not been shattered
-7 7 8 -8 8 -8
or driven to its knees
7 7 7 7 -7 6 6 -6-7-66 6
Oh, but it's all right, it's all right
6 6 -6 7 6 -5 5
for we lived so well so long
7 -7 7 -8 7 -7
Still, when I think of the
7 -7 -6 6 -7
road we're traveling on
5 -5 6 6 -4 5
I wonder what's gone wrong
5 -6 -6 6 6 6 5 4 5 -4 4
I can't help it, I wonder what's gone wrong

4 4 5 -4 4 -4 4
And I dreamed I was dying
4 4 5 -5 6 -8 7 -7-7 7 -6
I dreamed that my soul rose unexpectedly
-6 -6 6 -5 -5 6 5
And looking back down at me
6 -5 5 5 -5 -4
Smiled reassuringly
4 4 5 -4 4 -4 4
And I dreamed I was flying
5 5 -5 6 6 -9 8 -8 -8 8 7
And high up above my eyes could clearly see
7 7 -7 -7 -7 7 -6
The Statue of Liberty
-6 6 -5 -5 6 5
Sailing away to sea
4 4 5 -4 4 -4 4
And I dreamed I was flying

4 5 6 6 -6 6 -5 5 -4
We come on the ship they call the Mayflower
-7 -7 -7 -7 7 7 -7 -7 -6
We come on the ship that sailed the moon
4 5 6 6 -6 7 6 5 -4 6 5
We come in the age's most uncertain hours
-7 7 7 7 8-8 -8 7
and sing an American tune
7 7 7 7 6 -6 -6 6 6 5
Oh, and it's alright, it's all right, s'all right
6 6 -6 7-8 8 -8 7
You can't be forever blessed
7 -7 -7 7 -8 7 -7 7 -7 -6 6 -7
Still, tomorrow's gon' be another working day
5 5 -5 6 6 -4 5
And I'm trying to get some rest
5 -5 7 6 5 4 4 5 -4 4
That's all I'm trying to get some rest
