Sweet hour of prayer, Sweet hour of prayer,

 -6 6 5 5 -4 4 -4 5 -4
That calls me fr-om a world of care,

 4 5 -5 6 6 -6 -7 7
And bids me at my Fa-ther's throne

 -6 6 5 5 -4 4 5 -4 4
Make all my wa-nts and wish-es known:

 6 7 -7 7 -6 6 5 6
In Sea-sons of dis-tress and grief,

 6 7 -7 7 -6 6 5 -4
My soul has oft-en found re-lief,

 4 5 -5 6 6 -6 -7 7
And oft es-caped the tempt-er's snare

-6 6 5 5 -4 4 5 -4 4
By thy re-tu-rn, sweet hour of prayer.
